So today i thought it would be a great day to talk about japanese girls but not about only teen girls but all girls from young to old. So lets start with the teen girls:) So Japanese girls are alot different from american girl, they are alot shy and not as out going or talk active like american girls are. The whole social groups in japan are crazy becuase the boys and girls seem to be totally segregated, for example at lunch you never see boys and girls eat together at all, they are both at each ends of the class room not even talking to each other. Its like the boys and girls dont even like each other. And let me tell you its soo hard to even tell who is dating one or another becuase if they are dating they dont make it public at all. I liked this girl who always talked to me and was really nice and i had no idea she had a boyfriend becuase she always talked to me and was around me until she asked me if i had a girlfriend and i asked her and she said she had a boyfriend which i couldnt. I still dont know who her boyfriend is but i feel sorry for her becuase who ever her boyfriend may be he is doing a lazy job being a good boyfriend in my opinion. I think relationships is when you spend alot of time with the girl you like, but i cant judge them and say its wrong, just a different culture. Now back to my main topic, not all japanese girls are shy and quiet there are a few who are super loud and to crazy, and dress really bad with their short skirts and dont look like the type of people i would want to hangout with. Its crazy to me how the levels of personalitlies in japan are either supper shy or super annoying, i havent gotten to understand that yet....
Moving on to adult girls, like my two host moms i cant tell you how sorry i feel for them. In japan the wife does everything in the house, and when i say everything i mean it. She does all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and pretty much a servant for everyone. My first host mom, would stay up till 11:00 at night scrubbing the floors and doing laundry then wake up at 4 every morning to finish laundry and this was everyday. I couldnt imagine how tired she must of been everyday. She always made coffee to help out but forcing your body to stay awake is never a good thing. And i offered numerous times to help but she insisted that i dont help, which made me alittle mad.... And what was worst was the host dad would come home and watch tv to like he did nothing to help her out with anything... And most all japanese houses are like this. When i have a family of my own i am going to make sure i help out with my house becuase not fair for the women to do everything while the men do nothing. Now i could understand if she was a stay house mom but she had a job to which means she is going threw everyday non stop working home and at her job. Just way to much!!! In america all the kids including me have chores we have to do to keep the house clean becuase both our parents work busy jobs and they are always tired so we could atleast help out the best we can and i think that is how it should be. The kids should do work for the house they live in and help out the family. Now i am not saying that my first host dad was really bad, he helped me and explained japanese to me and was very nice, but i just wished he would help out in the house some how or even alittle like the dishes or something. I remember this one time when he was finished with his dinner he stood up and took his plate to the sink and my host mom was soo happy becuase he did and not her, which i thought was alittle sad becuase i did that everyday to help out alittle. O well if she is happy than thats all i want.
Anyways now the final girls the old people. Now old people there are two types of old people there are 1 the nice and cool grandma's and then theres 2 the old fashion grandma's. Now i have had both and frankly i like the new cool grandma's thats my host family now. My last family me and my grandma didnt have the best relationship, becuase as i said earlier shes old fashion which i would know nothing about becuase i am in the new generation and only know the new things and ways. But my grandma didnt really accept that well, she didnt like me so much to the point she wouldnt even eat dinner with me. She would take her bath and purposely wait until i finished and went to my room till she came out and ate her dinner, which didnt bug me to much because i didnt want to make things worse by trying to talk to her and make her more mad so i kinda stayed out of her way. And what i dont like really about old ladies is that most of them know very old japanese which again is really impossible for me to know so i literally cant talk to any of them, but i try. Especially with the onces i have now they are really sweet and understand that i am a exchange student and my japanese isnt perfect so they talk to me and tell me about their days and are really friendly. So those are kinda my point of view about girls in america im sure i have left out alot or anything i forgot to type, but i hope you enjoyed it and please ask any questions if you have any:)

Japan FREE TIME 4-22-13
Today i have decided to talk about what you do in Japan when your free or are hanging out with friends. This could range from going shopping or going out to eat together. Of course they have all the normal places you can go to, like movie theater, bowling and many places to eat. But one activity they have here that we don't really do in america is karaoke. And that is what you do with your friends in japan you go to a place to go singing with your friends, which at first was really weird for me because i gave never sang in front of people before especially in front of friends. But after going a couple of time i have learned to get out of my comfort zone and really have enjoyed it. They have american songs to so i don't have to struggle trying to sing Japanese songs, i have tried reading them but they always sing to fast i cant keep up. But i think this is one of those things you have to do when you come to japan and wish we had stuff like this in america because it is really fun and even though some people don't have the best voices like me you can mess around with your friends and act silly together:)
Aside from karaoke they i would probably say that the next activity is going out for ramen with friend, but when i say ramen i mean like ramen!! Japanese ramen is soo good and delicious American ramen taste like poop compared to Japanese ramen, its soo good and everywhere in japan:) When i first came to japan when ever i had money for anything it was always ramen and karaoke i have loved that in japan so much my friends had to tell me that we should take a break from that stuff because we did to much of it, which they were right i was spending to much money on that stuff. And when i first came to japan i was really bad with money because i dont actually know the true value of the money i think of it of free money so i spend it like it was candy on pretty much anything, but that led to me always not having money and my friends wanting to do things with me but i was broke. And i get my money from my sponsoring program called rotary and they give me about $120.00 dollars a month which i don't think is to shappy since i dont have to do anything or work to get it:) They also have the normal gaming systems for guys, everyone has a PS3 and people game it up together which is always fun:) All the other free time to do with friends is pretty much the same you would do in america, i don't know one thing america has that japan doesn't, i think japan might have more stuff to do they know how to have fun and keep people entertain:) So today's blog is a little short but that's pretty much all you do in japan with friends mostly karaoke and ramen, well at least that's what me and my friends always do:P if you have any questions please feel free to ask and i would be happy to answer them. Thankyou:)

Japanese Host Family 4-21-13
Today i think it would be nice to talk about my family and how much the differ from my american family in america:) To start I wanted to say how much I really like my host family and I really love them and consider them as my real family. In america I have 3 younger brothers and 1 younger sister so I am the oldest and learned a lot of responsibly being the oldest and always having to show the example. At least I think I am pretty responsible.. i actually don't know I have never asked any one that before. Anyways back to my families my Japanese family I am with now I have 1 younger sister and one brother who is the same age as me but my birthday is actually before his so still makes me the oldest of the family:) As for my host siblings go we get along but we aren't as close as I would want to be. My family in america we are all very close and do everything together but here everyone is kinda independent. Which i think is good and bad in many reasons.
My sisters name is Kanan and she is 11 and she is supper shy and not out going, to pretty much anyone except for her mom. She always talks to her mom and seems happy, but she is always to her self when she isn't around. She does many activities besides school. Shes on a ski team, swimming, piano lessons and takes English school but she never talks English around me because she is to shy to. Which i think is a downer for her because she could really learn alot of English from me if she just wanted to talk to me. I have taught so many of my friends speak English and they all are really good now. She can be very shy but also very mean for a 11 year old. What i mean by this is my Japanese is not perfect but i know people can understand what i am trying to say because i can talk to people:) But my sister pretends she cant understand me because it isn't proper Japanese so when i do try talking to her she asks her mom what i said and them my mom say's pretty exactly what i said but maybe add a little more than i did, but i know she can understand me because i talk to kids younger than her and they can always understand what i want to say, but i dont let that get to me at all:) Sometimes she laughs at something i say and so if she is happy than i am happy:)
Now moving on to my host brother his name is Ryusuke and he is what we call an "yankii" and those are one of those trouble kids who are kinda mean and rude to others.... We get along but we usually don't do to much together because we both have totally different personalities and hobbies. He is into motorcycles and i am into sports and dancing:) He treats people really bad like his sister mom grandparents everyone besides me because maybe he knows that i would do something back if he tried to pick on me. But for one time we were in the car going somewhere and our grandpa was driving the car and he would honk the horn when people were riding there bikes and hit his grandpa if he didn't let him. He is really mean and not a nice guy, i do the best i can with trying to make him stop but i am not technically his brother so he wouldn't listen to me and i cant tell him what to do. I just be nice to everyone and treat everyone the way i wanted to be treated and i know that's really cheesy and old but its true:) He also smokes to which i really cant stand!!>:( hes 17 and smoking he has no idea how bad that is, and he also dropped out of school and has a job that he works pretty much everyday. I tried telling about why he needs to go to college so he can get a better job and raise a family if he wants to, but he didn't really care. Like i said we get along but i cant really tell him what to do..... And there alot more crazy stories and things i don't really like about him, but i don't want to talk only about him, because we get along but aren't really friends..:/
Now is my dad, my dad we haven't done a whole lot with him but i like him alot. When i first came he always talking Japanese to me and telling about different things and i like listening to him and talk to him. He is a huge skier, runner and golfer and he is taking me to do all those with him. Winter is about over now but we went skiing every week because he got me a season pass so i could go when ever i wanted with friends or family. So i did that and i had free rental to so i learned skiing and snowboarding while i was there which both are super fun and i would say anyone should go if you haven't:) Now we both are training for a upcoming marathon in a couple of months, but a while marathon i think i am going to die!!:O i haven't done any kind of sports or exercise since i have been here so i don't know how i am going to do that but i will try:P but im sure our practice will pay of the first day we went and did a ran together we ran 10 kilometers which i don't know exactly in miles but that's around 6 miles and he ran the whole way with our stopping which really surprised me because i didn't think he was really the running type. He was also breathing really hard and i thought he was going to pass out but he still did it:) after we run the marathon he is going to teach me how to golf which i have never done before but it is really popular in japan for the guys to play golf so i will try:) and so me and my dad are pretty close but he is always at work and busy so i don't get to see him that much which is a little bummer. O and he works at a car dealer place where people can rent cars and stuff like that:)
Now final and best member of my family now is my MOM!!:) My host mom is just the best and i really consider her my second real mom. I can tell her everything and any problems i have. We are always silly around each other like in the car a song will come on that we both know (usually american music) and we both are just jamming in the car and singing and dancing and its great!!! She really surprised me because most Japanese girls here are supper shy ( which i really hate....) but she isn't at all, shes so funny:) Her cooking is great and taste and we always make jokes about each other to. For a example she know all the american 70 and 80 songs so i always make fun of her age, but when we are in the car and i am singing to a american song. She will tell me that my English is amazing but my Singing is really bad, so she is a real joker:P she can speak English too so she always helps me understand Japanese i have taught her alot of English:) we go shopping tomorrow and we make each other laugh all the time!! And i feel like there is so much more to talk about my mom but she is just super great, like a best friend to me and i love her:) Shes as cool as my real mom in america, and she is the best. That's pretty much all about my family and if there are any questions or things i might of left out please feel free to ask or tell me thank you and hope you enjoyed:)

Japan DAILY ROUTINE 4-19-13
So today in the japanese life we went to school and went to a normal day nothing to exciting happened to day i think all the boring days i will just type japan and the date to show that it is not exciting news at all and if there is something really exciting or really cool i would change to title to japan ...... something and the date so maybe it is worth reading or anyone who read my blogs which would be a surprise. So today i can just tell you what my daily day was like and what i did. So i wake up around 6:30 morning everyday and lay in my bed on the floor for about half an hour before i actually get. And I mentioned that my bed is on the floor because in japan many people just sleep on a mattress, futon thing and that's what they use for their beds here in japan. Which at first was difficult becuase i loved getting to my bed in america and being off the ground but its not really a big deal so i dont really mind now. But after i spend 30 minutes actually getting up i finally roll my self out of my bed and head to the living room where my mom always says good morning to me and she makes me a bowl of cereal. Which i really like about her not only does she say good morning to me everyday but she evens make my breakfast for me even if it is as simple at cereal. If i tried that with my mom in america she would probably just laugh at me and tell me that i am a funny boy. So i would have to do that myself. And after i finish my breakfast i always watch some children japanese shows becuase to tell you the truth watching all those kids shows really teach me japanese and i can understand what they are talking about to becuase it is all very easy japanese so i always feel smart when i watch them:) and about 7:40 i change into my uniform and do my hair and leave the house at about 7:50 where i take my bike and ride to the train station. O and another thing to point out is that all japanese people depend on bikes so much like everyone has a bike and rides it everywhere!! Its pretty crazy but back to my story. So i get to the station around 8:05 and wait for my friend to get off the train and we both go to school together:) and people use the train even more than they use bikes which is even more crazy. Like if they didn't have the train im sure everyone here would go mad:O and once he gets off his train he picks up his bike which is left at bike park place where everyone leaves their bikes everyday, and we go to school and it only takes about 15 minutes from the station. Once at school we have free time until 8:40 when our class finally starts and then i go threw my school life till about 3:40 and school finishes. So we have 7 hour day of school which isnt so much different from american schools:) once school is finish i usually hangout with my friends and we do many different things together. This could anything from going out to dinner together or working out it changes pretty much everyday becuase i am always being really free being a exchange student and all i never have homework and my life is pretty easy. So playing with my friends all day i come home when everyone decides to head home which is about 8:30 night because that is the last time for the train for my friend to go home and then i come home eat dinner, take a shower, check up on all my computer needs and go to sleep around 10:00 and that is my daily schedule in japan every day:)

Japan schools 4-18-13
Lets see here in good old japan i went to school which is just a normal Japanese school. And if you from america let me tell you that school there and here are complete different. To start you have to wear a uniform everyday and you look like everyone around you. Which has its up and downs, for first i love waking up every morning and not worrying about what i am going to wear for the day because i already know:) but in america i love being different from other people with the way i dress at to show my personality and showing that i am different from other people. When i wear a uniform i feel like everyone is the same and nothing is different and no one is better or worst than anyone. Which if you really think about it that is a good think, but also gives you the feeling that your not better than anyone as the term advancing and being the best at something. Like being a robot in a way. Sorry i have been in japan for over 11 months and my english has gotten really bad.. But back to Japanese school another thing that is different from American schools is that every class is in the same classroom as in the teachers change the room and the students are always together and with the same people threw out the day. Which again has its up and downs. You dont really get to meet other people or know the school becuase you only hangout with your classmates but you get really close to your classmates as if your related. So its really what you perfer more to know more people or become better friends with and be friends for ever? I like both so cant really choose and everyone at the school knows me becuase i am the only exchange student in the whole school. Now for lunch in america well at least at my school we are able to leave campus and go eat somewhere for lunch with friends but in japan thats not the case. You mom makes you a think which is called a bento. And what a bento is, is its a lunch box that your mom makes which usually has rice, meat and vegetables:) and my host mom is really good at cooking and always makes me good lunches. And at school you eat you bento's in class with you classmates but only in the class room like you cant go out side or to other classrooms, which i didnt really like, but its ok if you have friends. But if there was someone who isnt so out going i wonder how he feels having no one to eat with or anywhere to go i feel sorry for those people... And at school the teachers aren't afraid to totally yell at someone for some mistake in front of everyone. In america when a teacher is agnry with a student he pulls him or her aside and talks to her quietly about the issue but not in japan the teachers make sure everyone knows what they did wrong and shouldn't do it again, which at first kinda scared me, i mean i dont know what i would do if someone did that to me:O but its there way of life and i cant judge them and say it is wrong. So besides that schools is great you get to know your classmates very well almost like brothers and the teachers are all kind and willing to help everyone and the schools are always super clean as for you have in school shoes that you have to wear. And they have a good school and its not bad at all i have grown on it and actually enjoyed it alot and probably going to miss it when i go back to america. :)
